S-Video link Defined
This is a special cable with four pin connectors at the end designed to carry video. Its virtue is that it keeps the luminance part of the signal separate from the chroma part, providing a significantly better picture quality. It is most commonly seen on DVD players and S-VHS tape recorders, and the TVs for them to plug into. Sometimes the term S-VHS is incorrectly used instead of S-Video.
